Education For All

GRACE Initiative supports and works towards all levels of education, from primary education to skilled workers’ apprenticeships, university, and further education at home and abroad.

Learners at Greater GRACE Academic Centre.

Greater Grace Academic Centre

The Greater Grace Academic Centre was started in 2010 to provide access to high-quality education to qualifying children regardless of their family’s ability to pay tuition. The school has a population of 200 learners in Pre-School to 8th grade. Barriers that the GRACE initiative is addressing in education include:
◊ Lack of quality learning          ◊ Low completion rates

◊ Access to quality education    ◊ Low self-esteem.

◊ Equitable distribution of resources between rural versus urban schools or private schools

◊ Lack of interest in STEM

Greater GRACE Academic Centre

GRACE Initiative runs a primary school – Greater Grace Academic Center which is a co-ed day school with a population of about 200 students. The school focuses on ensuring the vulnerable children within the community get an opportunity to get affordable quality education and basic health care.
GRACE runs a school feeding program that ensures that the children not only acquire learning at the school but also enjoy a hot nutritious breakfast and lunch.
In addition, GRACE endeavors to provide scholarships for orphans and vulnerable children to ensure that they successfully complete their primary education. GRACE also seeks scholarships from other institutions to support students joining high school.

Science, Technology, Engineering, And Mathematics (STEM)

STEM Boot camp cohort of 2022.

We are in the process of establishing an Innovation center at the school where our long-term goal is to promote STEM and nurture our learners’ abilities.
So far, our learners are benefiting from this program by undertaking regular computer classes and STEM-related projects which are in line with the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).

The program has benefited over 3000 learners and teachers directly and indirectly.

Mentorship

Besides providing education we are also building on an active mentorship program. The main aim is to nurture holistic learners and to offer them life skills.

Small Class Size

A manageable class size has given the teaching staff ease in delivery.

Low Teacher-Pupil Ratios.

We abide by the Ministry of Education guidelines on the teacher-learner ratio to ensure interaction between learners and the teachers is maximized and learners get the attention desired attention.

Scholarships For Vulnerable Learners.

We offer scholarships to vulnerable and deserving learners to enable them to complete their primary school studies by giving them a chance to access quality education.
